Elegance Court, Bangkok
It was cold rainy grey and cloudy when we left Sweden for Bangkok. When we finally landed in Bangkok on 29th March, the heat and the noisy busy in Bangkok stroke us as a bomb. To get a cab was a struggle and an adventure; our appearance must have seemed like "Johnny just came to town" which was exactly how we felt. We finally managed to get a cab that took to us Elegance Court.

As soon as we got there, my children went to explore the hotel. They were very happy to find the pool on the roof top. Soon after, we went to do some shopping and exploring the city nearby the hotel. The apartment we had was very comfortable, we had a good nights sleep and with a little help from the staff we were on our way to the airport....off to Phuket.

We arrived Phuket late in the night and we were grateful that someone picked us up at the airport. It made us feel so welcome. The guy "suport" was standing there with a big sign that was hardly to be missed. He helped us to check in and made sure everything was OK. We stayed on the 17th floor and the view from the aparment was fantastic. One balcony was facing the mountains and from the other one we could see the beach and the famous Bangalore road.

The beach was our priority; we woke up early in the morning, had some breakfast and went out straight away. Just down the road was the famous Patong beach. After finding our beach spot, we just laid back and relaxed under the sunshine.

There were plenty of activities to keep my boys busy. They did parasailing, banana boat, wake board and water scooter. At reasonable prices, I could easily let them do whatever they wanted.

Meanwhile, my mum had different types of message every day at the beach, and she spent most of her time swimming. Now the Indian Ocean was at her feet!

We found sheep restaurants and even more sheep once; we had a "luxurious" dinner every day. We found a restaurant called Dinos, and it was fantastic! Everything was in the style of "Fred Flintstone".

We also went on a boat trip to Koh Phi Phi. It was unforgettable; the Viking grotto, the monkey island. Not to mention snorkelling among the most colourful fishes which we, Swedes, could only see on Disney films. The crew took my boys to see sharks. I am so grateful that I invested in an underwater camera.

We also invested in some tailor-made Armani for my boys.
And the price...no complains.

In the evenings my Mum and I sat on the balcony enjoying the noise and warmth of Phuket with a cool drink whilst the boys enjoyed the television.

I really should not forget to mention the staff at Patong tower, MR "A" (we called him "Echo", with his permission of course). He called us every day to see if we were OK, or if there was anything we needed. He was the one who arranged the trip to Koh Phi Phi for us.

Well, I could go on and on but in short our holiday was fantastic with sincerely hospitable people and superb accommodation. All of which combine to create a delightful ambience of a truly memorable holiday.
